JEE (Main)



The JEE (Main) Examination is conducted by CBSE for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, participating State Government Institutions etc. The merit/rank list is prepared based on 40% weightage to the marks obtained in 12th Boards examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks are considered only after normalization.

JEE Main examination is conducted in two formats ( Offline Format & Online Format)

Date of examination:

          Offline Format (Pen and Paper Based Examination): The first Sunday of April.

          Online Format: In this mode Two/Three dates (Generally in the Ist and IInd week of April) are provided to students. The student have to opt one of the these date as per his/her choice.

Type of examination: There will be one objective type paper of three hour duration with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. A student can opt for offline (Pen and paper based) format or online format.
