VITEEE



The VITEEE is conducted online by Vellore University, Tamilnadu for the every year for the engineering aspirants for its Institutions at Vellore and Chennai in the month of April. There are 15 B.Tech streams available for both the centres.

ELIGIBLITY CONDITIONS


Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE should have either completed or shall be appearing in the following qualifying examinations:

* The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).

* Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education alone are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST category
• Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible for all the 15 B.Tech. Programmes.
• Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes. They are also eligible for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Spec. in Bioinformatics) but after joining, registering Mathematics as bridge course is mandatory.

Schedule of VITEEE Computer Based Test (CBT)

• VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted generally from 8th April to 19th April 2015
• The duration of the entrance examination is of 2 hours 30 minutes.
• The Result of VITEEE is tentatively declared on 30th April.

Pattern of the Entrance Examination
All Questions will be of OBJECTIVE TYPE

• PART-I - Physics / PART-II - Chemistry / PART-III - Mathematics / Biology
• Candidates attempting Physics,Chemistry & Mathematics are eligible for all 15 Programmes offered.
• Candidates attempting Physics,Chemistry & Biology are eligible for B.Tech Bio-Medical Engineering,Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engg(Spec.in Bioinformatics) programmes only.
• The selection of pattern (Physics/ Chemistry /Mathematics or Biology) has to be decided at the time of slot booking.
• All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only.
• Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one mark.
• Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers. The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and click the same.
• No negative marks for wrong answers.
